Prices: $1200 pp (double occupancy), $1400 pp (single)
Price includes: Hotels, meals, ground transportation, driver, guides, entrances to parks, park guides, round trip economy airfare from Kathmandu to Chitwan.
What is not included: International airfare, alcoholic beverages, tips, items of a personal nature.
Group size: The tour will take place when a minimum of 4 persons have registered. The maximum number of participants is limited to 14, not including the tour leaders and driver.
Physical requirements for the trip: Participants should be healthy and able to walk short distances without difficulty. While there are no extensive walks or treks on this tour, the short walks may involve uneven ground. Sturdy shoes or boots required (no open toed sandals).
Health Precautions: Participants are suggested to contact their health provider for the most up to date recommendations for travel to Nepal. Travel medical insurance is mandatory for all participants. Check with your physician for vaccination recommendations.

Notes: This tour was developed as a post-conference tour to the V International Orchid Symposium (https://www.annapurnaresearch.org/internationalorchidsymposium) held in Kathmandu, Nepal Nov 18-20. Conference participants are highly encouraged to participate, although the tour is open to all those interested.
International flights: Participants should arrange their own flights to Kathmandu, Nepal. Participants should plant to arrive on or before November 21. The tour will begin and end at the The Park Village Resort, Budhanikantha, Kathmandu, Nepal (https://parkvillageresort.com/). Participants should make their own hotel arrangements at Park Village Resort, if needed.
Other information: Most foreign nationals require a visa for Nepal, which is easily obtained as a visa on arrival at the airport. Key requirements include a passport valid for at least 6 months with blank pages, plus a photo, with costs varying by duration, and options for 15,30 or 90 day stays. Nationals from Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, and Syria must get a visa before travel from a Nepal embassy. Indian citizens (with ID) do not need a visa.
Day 1. Pick up guests at Park Resort Hotel, Kathmandu. Transportation to airport. Flight to Chitwan.
Arrive in Chitwan, transport to Machan Country Villa.

Check-in and refresh in your comfortable accommodation.
Lunch: Enjoy a hearty lunch at the lodge’s dining area, featuring local and international cuisine.
Village Visit/Swimming/ Rest
Slide presentation: One of our jungle experts will introduce background data and history of the Chitwan National Park as well as some other topics relating to wildlife.
Tharu Cultural Dance : In the evening, experience the vibrant Tharu cultural dance performance. Learn about their traditions and enjoy the lively dance and music.
Dinner: As the sun sets, savor a delicious dinner at the our dining hall or outside at the garden area.
Day 2. Jungle Exploration
Morning: Wake up early to the sounds of the jungle and enjoy your hot cup of tea, coffee and cookies.
Bird Watching: Join an expert naturalist guide for a thrilling bird-watching experience in the jungle. Nepal is home to a wide variety of exotic bird species.
Breakfast: Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast amidst the serene surroundings.
Rest/Swimming: You can either enjoy the pool with one complimentary drink or sit back and chill.
Lunch: Have your delectable lunch in our dinning hall.
Jeep Safari + Vulture Feeding : Drive to Lamachaur for the entry inside the forest and start a jungle drive. Jeep safaris offer an exhilarating way to explore the region’s beautiful and diverse wildlife. This adventure involves guided tours through dense forests and open grasslands, providing an opportunity to spot a wide range of wildlife, including rhinoceros, tigers, elephants, and various bird species. Jeep safaris are a thrilling alternative to traditional elephant safaris, offering a faster and more flexible experience for travellers’ keen on experiencing the natural beauty and wildlife of Chitwan. On the way you’ll get to experience the thrill of feeding the Wild Vulture.
BBQ Dinner: After the cultural performance, indulge in a delightful dinner at the lodge.
Day 3. Village Life
Morning Cycle: Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the lodge, with the sounds of the jungle as your background music and start your journey to visit our local village through cycling (alternatives available)
Cooking with Locals and Lunch: Return to the lodge for a delectable lunch which will be prepared by yourself with our guidance and indulge the traditional food of Tharu community, followed by lunch at the dining hall.
Canoeing: Explore the tranquil waters of the Narayani River in traditional dugout canoes. Witness the diverse aquatic life and the lush riverbanks.
Sundowner: After the enchanting boat ride you will be welcomed on the banks of Narayani River where refreshment is offered. As the sun dips below the horizon, relish a refreshing sundowner by the riverside. Dinner: After the amazing sundowner experience, indulge in a delightful dinner at the resort.
Day 4. Return to Kathmandu
